OXFORD, Maine - The most prestigious short track racing weekend in New England received another high-octane boost today with the announcement that the True Value Modified Racing Series will make its inaugural appearance at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, July 21, 2007.

| Shawn Martin, Carey Martin dominate New England Dodge Dealers Little Guy 100s |

OXFORD, Maine – Shawn Martin and Carey Martin cruised to victory Saturday afternoon in the 11th annual New England Dodge Dealers Little Guy 100s at Oxford Plains Speedway, capping a day that featured more than 600 laps of green-flag competition.
The traditional, season-ending Little Guys event was coupled with the conclusion of the Sun Journal Summer Racing Series Showdown, which was postponed due to thunderstorms last weekend with two qualifying races and a full slate of feature races remaining.

| Lucrative 2007 Oxford Late Model Challenge series announced |

OXFORD, Maine - Oxford Plains Speedway today announced the Oxford Late Model Challenge, a series of races that will give the region’s Late Model competitors five premier events during the 2007 campaign.
The series pays homage to the “Oxford Open Series” of the 1970s and ’80s, when competitors from around New England trekked to OPS to compete against the region’s other Late Model stars.

OXFORD, Maine – In a tearful celebration, the man who dominated the 17-year history of the Oxford Networks Pro Stock class as a driver and car builder claimed both his record ninth Oxford Plains Speedway championship and his 69th feature victory in the division's swan song Saturday night.
Jeff Taylor dominated the 50-lap Pro Stock finale. He won all three Weekly Racing Series events since OPS announced August 14 that the division would be combined with its Agren Appliance Late Models as a top class in 2006.

OXFORD, Maine – Jeff Taylor, Travis Adams and Carey Martin each took a giant stop toward historic track championships at Oxford Plains Speedway, padding their respective point leads with Office Max feature victories Saturday night.
Jim Childs, meanwhile, became the first driver to clinch a title this season by finishing fourth in the Allen's Coffee Brandy Mini Stock feature. His father, former champion Bill Childs Sr., won the event.
The four remaining titles will be settled next Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Bancroft Contracting/Falls Fencing Championship Night.

| Farrington wins twice in season-ending Duchette Insurance Kart Klash |

OXFORD, Maine - Dave Farrington Jr. sped to his 17th and 18th feature victories of the summer at Oxford Plains Speedway, closing the curtain on the A-1 Auto, Inc. Go Kart Series season by sweeping the Unrestricted and Modified features in the Duchette Insurance Kart Klash on Friday night.
Monica Martin finished second to Farrington in both feature events, which were 40 laps (double the usual distance) in the traditional, non-points end to the kart season at OPS.

OXFORD, Maine – Four drivers won a Summer Racing Series championship for the first time Wednesday night as the popular mid-week series wrapped up its eighth season at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Daryl Varney (Outlaw), Derek Cairns (Runnin' Rebel), Bill Irving (Sport Truck) and Debbie Martin (Ladies) each captured the 10-race season championship.
Martin was the only driver to previously win an Oxford full-season title, capturing the Saturday night Ladies crown back in 1983.

OXFORD, Maine – This week's announcements regarding the future of Oxford Plains Speedway and the TD Banknorth 250 ensured that a few Pro Stock drivers will making the transition to Late Model specifications in 2007.
They'll have some work to do to catch up with Ben Rowe. The Turner native is already a two-time TD Banknorth 250 champion, and now he's a four-time winner on the American-Canadian Tour (all in the last two months) after a thrilling victory in the New England Dodge Dealers 150 Saturday night at OPS.

OXFORD, Maine - You don't often see drivers win a championship by winning the final race, and seven A-1 Auto, Inc. Go Kart Series title chases were no exception Friday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Seven drivers entered Friday night knowing what they needed to do to clinch the title in Oxford's growing, fourth-year developmental racing series. Nick Brown (Unrestricted), Dan Pelletier Jr. (Gold Plate) and Mike Ricker (Star Champ) each followed through by adding another OPS championship trophy to their mantle, while Brandon Varney (Box Stock), Troy Davis (Purple Plate), Kyle Metivier (Blue Plate) and Dave Farrington Jr. (Western Maine Modified) all won the season sweepstakes for the first time.

| Leonard, Robitaille prevail in Summer Racing Series at Oxford |

OXFORD, Maine – John Leonard and Randy Robitaille each ended a two-year victory drought in the Summer Racing Series at Oxford Plains Speedway, scoring impressive victories in the final two Outlaw races Wednesday night.
Leonard's win was vindication after her had one taken away earlier in the night. Daryl Varney benefited from Leonard's post-race disqualification to win an Outlaw make-up feature and claim the division point lead heading into next week's final event of the championship season.
