Plenty of Young Talent in Sugar Hill’s Sunday Racing Program
Weare, NH – Sugar Hill Speedway has a long-standing tradition of
producing talented drivers that move on to the stock car and open wheel
ranks of racing. If Sunday’s season opener of the Lovering Volvo Weekly
Racing Series is any indication of the talent coming down the pipeline,
fans in racing are in store for many years of great racing. Russell Wood
Jr. of Pelham, MA won the Junior Outlaw division. He and rookie Davey
Riendeau had the fans on the edge of their seats as they swapped the
lead back and forth for 25 laps. Sean Murphy of Maynard, MA, Chris
Martel of Tewksbury, MA, and Craig Smith of Newport rounded out the top
five.
